NEW ZEALAND BEAT AUSTRALIA TO LIFT THE BLEDISLOE CUP

New Zealand retained the Bledisloe Cup for a straight 19 years by defeating Australia 57-22 at Eden Park. After winning 33-25 in the first test last week, the All Blacks sealed the title with another impressive victory. The Wallabies had never won on this ground in the last 21 matches, and New Zealand are now unbeaten in 27 tests.

Playing in front of 25,121 crowd, New Zealand faced a competitive Australian team in the first 40 minutes. The home side scored three tries through Rieko Ioane, Brodie Retallick and Ardie Savea to take a 21-15 lead at the break. Savea was sent to the sin bin late in the first half.

New Zealand ran riots after the match resumed. Codie Taylor scored a brace with Sevu Reece and Will Jordan also had the ball over the try line. Andrew Kellaway scored a late consolation for Australia, but David Havili delivered the last try to give All Blacks the highest score against the Wallabies in 118 years.
