After two years, the Selangor Rugby League is back. Sixteen rugby clubs are competing this season. The global pandemic was a test of resilience and these clubs are making their comeback.
Rhinoz Warriors kicked-off the new Selangor rugby season with an impressive win over Bumblebees RC. The Selayang based club showed a lot of improvements on and off the field. Megat, Qasha and Ilyas gave the Warriors a strong 15-7 lead at half time. Hilman, Saiful Zarif, Muazzam, Haikal Qusyairi and Haziq Iqbal wrapped the game with a 42-14 opening match victory.
In another match, Koba RC started their Selangor League campaign with a huge 71-0 win over ARC Knights. Eight matches were played at UPM in the first week of the new season. The 2022 Selangor Rugby season will run over three months until March.
