UAE DOMINATE BOYS' FINAL TO CLAIM ASIA RUGBY U18 SEVENS TITLE


The United Arab Emirates (UAE) clinched the title in the Asia Rugby U18 Sevens boys category, triumphing over Hong Kong with an impressive 43-0 victory in the Cup Final at Johor Rugby Stadium, Malaysia. The UAE team showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, finishing pool play with four straight wins and not conceding a single point.

Hong Kong, who topped Pool B with three victories, struggled to counter the UAE's superior performance in the final. Sri Lanka secured third place after a narrow 17-14 win against Malaysia. UAE's Nicholaz Fritz stood out as the tournament's best player, amassing 52 points through six tries and 11 conversions.


In the Girls U18 category, Hong Kong emerged victorious, defeating Thailand 31-5 in the final. Despite Thailand's strong efforts, they were unable to overcome the physically dominant Hong Kong team. Malaysia claimed third place with a 12-0 win over India. Sophie Aranha of Hong Kong was named the best girl player, contributing an impressive 55 points with 11 tries.

The Asia Rugby U18 Sevens showcased the emerging talents of future rugby stars across the region.
