The legendary COBRA 10s, known as the Home of Rugby 10s delivered another weekend of world-class action as the 52nd edition lit up the Astaka Rugby Fields in Petaling Jaya on November 1 and 2, 2025.
In the Men’s Cup Final, Malaysia’s Royal Town Warriors produced a stunning performance to dethrone the visiting Penguin Rugby Club from the UK, clinching a hard-fought 14–10 victory. Penguin drew first blood with an early try, but the Warriors stormed back to lead 7–5 at halftime. A second-half surge saw them extend their lead to 14–5 before Penguin’s late try came too little, too late.
Royal Town’s path to glory included a memorable semi-final win over Pakuranga Rugby Club from New Zealand, while Penguin had earlier edged hosts COBRA. The bronze match saw COBRA Rugby Club reclaim pride with a 14–10 win over Pakuranga.
In the Women’s division, Sumandak X RS dominated Dingoes RC 24–10 to lift the title, while COBRA Venom thrashed KL Tigers 44–0 for third place.
Meanwhile, in the Veterans category, SMS Oldboys blanked COBRA 12–0 to emerge champions, concluding a spectacular weekend celebrating the true spirit of global rugby.
