Toulouse etched their names deeper into French rugby history on Saturday, overcoming Montpellier 28-20 to capture a record-equalling fourth consecutive Top 14 title in a dramatic final interrupted by violent thunderstorms at the Stade de France.
The defending champions looked unstoppable in a blistering first half despite sweltering 34°C conditions. Hooker Peato Mauvaka stole the spotlight with two powerful tries, while superstar Antoine Dupont orchestrated the attack with trademark brilliance before adding a try of his own. Toulouse stormed into a commanding 25-6 halftime advantage, leaving Montpellier with a mountain to climb.
