The women’s division produced equally captivating drama. Japan battled past hosts China 24-19 in a nail-biting Cup Final, underlining their dominance in Asian women’s rugby. Hong Kong secured bronze with a narrow 19-17 victory over Thailand, while Kazakhstan held off India 17-10 to claim fifth. Hong Kong’s Julia Oyana dazzled with 10 tries and 2 conversions, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer. China’s Keyi Chen and Wanyu Wang also stood out with powerful attacking displays.

This year’s Series marks a significant expansion, with 12 national teams competing in both men’s and women’s divisions, up from 8 in previous editions. After an electrifying start in Hangzhou, attention now shifts to the final leg in Colombo, Sri Lanka (18–19 October), where Asia’s top rugby nations will collide at the historic Racecourse Stadium to decide the ultimate champions.
