WORLD CUP DRAW SETS RUGBY ON FIRE

The countdown to the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 just got a lot more exciting! Preparations reached a huge milestone with the confirmation of six pools, setting up the biggest Rugby World Cup in history. Yes, it’s big. Bigger than a front-rower’s appetite after training.

Australia will host the tournament, and for the first time ever, 24 teams will compete across six pools of four. The whole idea is to open the doors wider, bring more nations in, and make sure fans everywhere can scream, shout and possibly lose their voices.

The draw took place in Sydney on Wednesday, placing all 24 qualified teams into their pools ahead of the action from 1 October to 13 November 2027. One match is already giving fans goosebumps: Australia vs New Zealand in the pool stage. They’ve met a million times before, but never here. Expect drama, passion, and maybe a few neighbours arguing at the BBQ.

The defending champions South Africa are in Pool B with Italy, Georgia and Romania, while Argentina, Fiji, Spain and Canada form Pool C. Ireland face Scotland, Uruguay and Portugal in Pool D, France join Japan, USA and Samoa in Pool E, and Pool F features England, Wales, Tonga and Zimbabwe.

Fans can start planning now, the match schedule drops on 3 February 2026. A special two-week presale begins 18 February 2026, so make sure to create a ticketing account before 17 February. Miss it and you’ll be stuck watching from the sofa, shouting at your TV.
